DKNY SS15 | Get that Monochrome look

Hey babes!
How are you all doing?! At the moment i might be freaking out as i'm on exams baah -.-' I say "i might" just because you're reading a post from the past, this is one of the two blog posts that i've done last week in order to not fail on you.
If you read fashion magazines or blogs you already know how big patterns are this season, but not only patterns will be worn but also the monochromatic vibes thanks to a few high end designers. Let's all take a moment to thank Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, DKNY and Alexander Wang, for this trend that will look great in all body shapes and sizes.

Monochrome Patterns
Monochrome relates to the use of one colour or shades of one colour, and this season like previously in 2013 it's going to be our cool old black. Black for me is obviously a fashion must have in my wardrobe and shall i just say that i own way too many black pieces ranging from plain black dresses to black and white shirts. I just feel that black makes you look more sophisticated and adds the bonus of slimming.
DKNY SS15
For those who are not familiar with DKNY, it is a New York-based fashion house founded in 1984 by Donna Karan and the name stands for Donna Karan New York. Their products range from DKNY and DKNY Jeans womenswear, accessories, underwear, shoes, baby clothing, the PURE collection to DKNY menswear. Patterns can range from stripes, jigsaw, check, hudson's tooth, swirls, geometric links and many more. On their SS15 collection it's all about conjugating patterns in all the pieces as you can see in the picture above. Although i find it cool i wouldn't be able to pull if that look so i'll show you what i choose to turn it into a good match for me.

If conjugating checks and stripes is a bit too bold like it is for me, why not a sporty style with jeans and a monochrome patterned top? It is super comfy and not only you are wearing the monochrome trend but you're also wearing denim which is going to be huge this year.

I've bought this monochrome top at Primark for just 6£, what a bargain. I found it really cute and still into the monochrome patterned kind of look. I've styled it with some black strappy stiletto peep toe platform high heel sandals to give it a more casual chic look.
